Forcing parents to leave children in order to survive
scapegoating people seeking a better life
before these racist systems demise
stop separations before more children die

what have we done?
thousands of families torn apart by our racist laws
how can we turn away?
from such inhumanity committed by the state

thousands come from hostile places
only to be met by sexual predators and racists
ICE uses children as political hostage
no one seems to care or wish to stop it

what cant you hear?
the deafening calls of those interred in past history
what have we done?
using those looking for help as political pawns

trump uses rhetoric to instill fear
his racist agenda is no doubt to be clear
mike pence faces these suffering children
smiles to himself, turns his back to them
